but it's not more than how just about any character behaves around Kiyoko

That barely even seems worth mentioning then, because basically every character in the cast has a thing for her, lol. (And she IS hot and has a cute personality, so I can't blame them! But it isn't played as a big thing.)

Are there any canon pairings in Haikyuu!!? I don't think there were when I was reading. I imagine it will stay that way.

Right? And the crush everyone has on Kiyoko is also mostly played for laughs. Not to mention that when we're talking about canon "ship hints", Hinata and Yachi are at least as much hinted at as Yamaguchi and Yachi - the difference is that few people touch the KageHina flagship.

No, there are no canon pairings and I hope it stays that way.

That's how it's always looked to me; I've never taken it seriously.

I am with you on wanting no canon romance! I don't always mind canon romance, but this is on particular series I want to focus on friendship. If Hinata and Yachi became a thing I would be pretty disappointed. lol.

Canon romance is not something I expect to see in Haikyuu!! anytine soon but it probably all depends to which point the manga will go - so eh I wouldn't rule it out completely. But as long as it's not there (yet) I'm happy. It's not in our hands anyway haha! Would help if people stopped pretending that tiny hint=cast in stone canon, though.
