Thanks for the reply, it makes a lot of sense. For me, ESB gets the huge nostalgia boost, because the first time I saw Star Wars, it was in a movie theatre - double feature of SW and ESB. So Star Wars in general was this amazing film that was like nothing my little kid brain had ever seen before, and the Father/Son reveal, and the cliffhanger ending - all of it just broke my brain with fannish happiness.

While I think that ESB still holds up well for a lot of reasons, it also gets the extra nostalgia boost for me. ROTJ, I was happy to see it in the theatres, but somehow I wanted more than the film gave me.

Anyway, thanks for the reply - I think it makes a lot of sense!
