I hate it, but that's how I feel sometimes, too, when so many people (of all genders, not even just men) have no idea how avoid writing women as mostly sexual albatrosses who drag down the whole story with who wants desperately to fuck them/kidnap them/protect them. And judging from whatever the hell happened with the Cidney side character's design, a woman on the main FF15 team would have been a hot mess to have to deal with for the majority of the game.

I don't get it. I'm just happy when main female characters have some clothes on, don't need saving or correcting more than her male counterparts, don't ruin every plan just by being there, and nobody wants to fuck her. I think that's a super low bar, and yet.

To be fair, Final Fantasy has been pretty equal when it comes to "impractical and exposing clothing" for both genders in most games. Sephiroth's bondage gear, just about everyone wearing all-vital-ponts-exposed armor in XII...

It's pretty equal in toplessness, yeah, but not so much the booty shorts. Ugh, if Cidney had been in a jumpsuit and boots with a generous flash of boobage, I'd've been much happier. Sexiness in moderation, Sephiroth in a Kuja-style codpiece would have been my nightmare.

Kuja's codpiece is a masterpiece, come on ;D
