It does attract cis guys, just not the erotica parts of fandom

There is so much porn written by cis guys for cis guys. It's just not on AO3 where the predominantly female fandom is

Yeah, I've legit met a lot in real life. The person who introduced me to slash when I was a teenager and the internet was first becoming a thing is a cis dude, and since then, I've met a lot of others, but barely any post to AO3.

True. One of my first ever boyfriends was cis and straight and he was the one who introduced me to the fine hobby of writing erotica.

Men love writing that stuff for each other. He and his flatmate would do it competitively even if I wasn't there. It was called "readers' wives" letters back then. They just rarely post their efforts to AO3.
