When (if ) I get a place to myself, I most look forward to marathoning all the TV I never did
1. to avoid people seeing me watch this or that, and asking why I'm into it, or
2. because someone was watching something else and it would be impossible/hard to use the TV/tune out the sound/get decent internet speed.
Often while doing things like housework, of course.

This is a worthy goal, OP. I take it for granted now, but hell yes it's great to watch whatever I want, whenever I want without fighting for control of the TV/computer with my parents or siblings.

That is seriously the best part of living alone. That, and not feeling guilty about letting the dirty dishes build up...

Welp, now I want potato wedges.

And I get you, OP. Though there have been very few times I've tried to hide my interest in a show, I have done it. (Usually with shows that were 'racy'.)

Me, too. Mmm. Potato wedges...

I've done similar things with a few shows here and there. And alongside the other reasons people listed here, I look forward to watching shows on my own so that I don't have to hear, "This show/episode AGAIN?" :p.

"This show/episode AGAIN?"

Ooo, I didn't think of that! If you're the type to rewatch the same episode over and over again for certain scenes (I know I am) that might be a thing that comes up.

"Are you saying there's something unusual about me watching this scene 20 times in a row?!"

(Anonymous) 2015-10-01 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, exactly :D. Yeah, with the shows I love, there's some episodes or series I just enjoy rewatching whenever they're on TV or if I'm doing a mini-marathon of my own or something.

I get why that might get old for non-fans or people who aren't big on rewatching, of course, but still, it'd be nice to not be made to feel like an obsessed weirdo when I'm doing that :p.
