Isn't there a geek to geek dating site?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-01 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah pretty sure it sucks tho

That's too bad. Such a site could be a game-changer. I could browsing through history geek photos and looking for the Calico Jack to my Anne Bonney.

problem is (a) gaining userbase (b) structuring site in a useful way

pretty sure existing ones are all out-of-the-box bullshit dating sites w/ almost no userbase

A silent tear is shed for the lost opportunity to meet fellow nerds in my age group.

"geek 2 geek." Except a geek would spell it t-w-o...

SA - *t-o-o.

Well, karma bit my snarky little ass, huh?

You have to choose either canon or fanon though. You have 1. Looking for a mortal enemy, 2. Looking for a pal, and 3. Looking for someone to be available to drop everything and fix my mistakes.

There isn't one because when fandom people get together in non-natural ways bad things happen. That involve shitty ballpits.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-01 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I've always wanted to play in a ballpit tho :/

Same anon, I have never even seen a ballpit IRL. They look like terrifying fun.

I've met plenty of geeks through okcupid. Some for dating, some for potential friendship. Aaaand as with all new social connections there's the odd risk that some are batshit but easy enough to avoid.

Does anyone actually want a Draco to their Harry?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-02 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I mean, fictionally, it's kind of fun to play around with, but in real life? If someone was looking for a Hannibal to their Will in real life, that would really freak me out.

OP, if you want to double check the size of your tinypic secret so as not to accidentally submit secrets that are too big, right click on the image and choose "open in another tab". Then go to that tab and check the size. This is, of course, assuming you can't just resize the image BEFORE you upload it to tinypic, which is also a good way to do things.

Or use imgur, which doesn't fool you into thinking images are smaller than they actually are. Seriously. Everybody would be happier if you did.
