I have such mixed feelings about this and its fandom.
Do I want a new adaptation? It’d probably be bad, but...
Do I dislike the cutesier fanworks? Yes, but this kind of thing happens to angsty canons, and YKINMK...
Do I ship Raffles/Bunny? Not really, but fandom has rubbed off on me...
The only opinion I can commit to is that the TV series sure was fun.

There's enough of a "fandom" on Tumblr to have produced radio adaptation masterposts and a bunch of cutesy art.

An abandoned reading group. Barely active kink memes.

Raffles and Bunny, based on the TV programme, was almost impossible not to ship. I haven't read any of the stories, (yet) but watching them together, it was *so* easy to read into the relationship.

IMO it was much easier for me to ship in the show, because Raffles doesn't treat Bunny questionably as many times as he does in the stories.

Don't get me wrong, I have other ships with power imbalances, etc., but I lean towards fucked-up BrOTP for the stories.
