One time I ordered a steak medium rare and I ended up getting a blue rare steak.

But it was that time of the month, and I was so iron-deprived that I just didn't give a shit. It was still a pretty damn good steak.

Delicious blood? I don't know. I've never eaten anything rare. I was always too squeamish.

I prefer rare steak. Anyway if someone's steak is too rare they can always get it cooked more. If it's overdone you can't uncook it.
