Not the OC, but I just read The Supergirl From Krypton (Batman/Superman volume) and Diana was referred to as the 'Queen of Themyscira' - I've only ever heard of her being a princess. Do you know anything about that? Has she ever 'upgraded' from princess? Perhaps the villain was misinformed?

This intrigues me because she seems to have a different, stronger/harsher personality in these issues, as well as the film adaptation (Batman/Superman: Apocalypse).

I'm pretty sure her mother was dead at the time.

Many writers seem to think that if Hippolyta dies, Diana becomes Queen. But Themyscira was a republic for a while, too.
