I can relate. I was stuck on very slow internet for a long time, which made playing multiplayer games online pretty much a non-starter for the first few years of the 2000s, back when games like Counterstrike and the like were taking off. So I stuck to singleplayer, even well after I got faster internet, and I didn't really get into multiplayer until I discovered Day of Defeat.

(Poured hours into that, lol... I miss it!)
