1. Personal taste is not the same as value judgment. Not generally enjoying explicit sex scenes does not mean one is uncomfortable or judgmental about sex. It just means explicit sex scenes generally don't do anything for them.

The vast majority of explicit sex scenes do nothing for me, and probably three quarters of the time I'd rather not watch them. But I LOVE fanfic smut - especially the really graphic and kinky stuff.

2. The animosity towards GoT is probably more about how non-constructively rapey it is. At least that's where my dislike of the show comes from. "Yeah but it's a depiction of historical attitudes and behaviors." Ugh, whatever. Mad Men was a depiction of historical attitudes and behaviors, and that show still managed to convey how thoroughly sad, awful, and toxic those attitudes and behaviors were (at least the first four seasons did; I haven't watched the last couple).
