I don't judge people about it, but I do think it's boring that so many people just want the same villagers. It's just samey! My favourite villager is Pierce and always has been.

I don't really get the idea of a dream villager lineup, tbh. Having a favorite or two that you want in your town, fine, but I always like seeing which villagers the game decides to move into my town and how well I get along with them.

I could not imagine a more petty and pointless reason to judge someone.

So they only like the popular villagers? So what? Does that really say anything bad about them other than they seem to share an opinion popular with many others? Ohmygosh, maybe they're an Animal Crossing poser!1!!

I know it's not my business what other people want in their towns, and I would NEVER say this to someone's face, but it's just that internal kneejerk reaction that is hard for me to shake. I know I'm super petty about stupid shit.

Kneejerk reactions are hard to control. I think so long as you don't let your judgement effect how you treat people (unlike what I did just now, don't be a dick like me), then you're fine.

Most of my favorite villagers are the more popular ones because I think their design is cute. A few of my favorites are less-popular, but a majority are the "overrated" ones OP is complaining about.

I don't even get why some of the more popular villagers are so popular. Different tastes I guess.

It's just because a few artists became BNFs so the couple of villagers they drew became "the best" ones, so it became Very Important for a lot of people to have them. Not to mention the requisite judgment if your favorites didn't coincide.

I love Stinky and I don't care who knows it. :(

I was going to make a villager line up because I'm sure there's a generator somewhere but I can't for the life of me remember what this is called.

I'm rather amazed that my fav, Caroline, is not higher up on the list. I'm so tired of everyone losing it over Marshal. Yes, he's cute, but there's a lot better out there.
