Gay bars aren't a desexualised place for women to 'just dance' and 'chill'.

And hen parties can just get the fuck out. I have never seen one which wasn't literally the worst.

If you're there invited by your queer friends though that's cool.

I absolutely agree with gay spaces being men only. Drunk "fag hag" types are obnoxious as fuck. I say this as a lesbian - I like my women only spaces, and I think gay men ought to have the same.

Yeah in Australia some gay male bars have an exemption under the Equal Opportunity Act allowing them to exclude women. Dunno how they handle trans people / those who look gender ambiguous.

I think it'd be awesome if gay bars were split 50/50. You all enter through the one entry, then it divides (or an upstairs/downstairs). Girls looking for girls can go dance with girls (no dodgy straight men) and gay dudes can go dance with dudes (no dodgy straight girls) and I can get s lap dance from Officer Naughty without some unwanted man interrupting us (seriously?!)
