Haha, I can identify with the last bit. I'm not clumsy with my mother tongue, exactly, but writing in English feels so different - probably because my first exposure to English was through literature+writing essays. While with my mother tongue, it's like, "what is this.... how do I use this to write......." - I'm too accustomed to too many syntactic constructions that are completely inappropriate in the context of writing fiction.

It's a really sweet story, though!
