Uh huh. No one was ever mean to me, jsyk. I wasn't super popular, but I wasn't unpopular. Also, I never read Cap/Bucky fic in college (I was all about the SPN). And really, I spent more of time on you know...learning.

But really, women can be just as bad as men. And saying otherwise does a disservice to women and men alike.

Depending on the situation, women can be worse than men. I was bullied pretty massively at school and while the guys were pretty straightforward about being assholes and I could deal with it pretty well ,what the girls did was downright emotional abuse, complete with gaslighting, plotting in groups against me but all in such a backhanded manner that I never knew if I could trust any one of them. I have severe trust issues to this day and was suicidal and massively paranoid because of them.

The worst case of bullying I ever saw happened to a sort of friend of mine named Holly (we hung out during lunch sometimes but didn't have each other's numbers or anything). For some reason this group of girls decided they hated her. I still am not certain why. But this group of 5-6 girls would harass her daily during lunch and online (this was Myspace days). They would come up to her, surround her, and just spout abuse. And they would just follow her around until lunch was over or a Holly would go stand by a teacher. It lasted for a whole school year (our last year in Junior high).

And, I am ashamed to say that I didn't defend her as much as I should have. I still hung out with her at lunch and such. The most I did was always steer her towards a teacher's area because I was terrified of getting caught up in the bullying. If they caught you with her, you'd be harassed to a lesser degree until you left the area. Once we got to high school it stopped (I guess the girls got someone new to hate). We still talk on occasion over FB and such, but we are not close.
