This is what I'm praying for because I know my folks would never turn out a hungry animal. Time was we couldn't go a summer without seeing at least one new cat slouching in. I guess the neighborhood has been getting better about spaying/neutering. Although there were kittens around the block this year. (Not that I particularly like kittens, but they'll grow eventually.) It's just that they chose to stay with their dad and host family that feeds everyone including several complete ferals. But it's weird -- our house and the yard next to it are prime territory and more than one young upstart tried challenging our old cat for it.

If we didn't have other wildlife who could take it I'd totally be hiding bowls of tuna around by now.
