What's for dinner?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-03 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been waiting for my McDonald's to get all-day breakfast so I could try a quarter pounder with mcmuffin egg on it. Aside from having to reassemble it for better cheese-melting (meat, cheese, egg instead of meat, egg, cheese), it's pretty good.

Next time, I'm going to try a mcdouble on an English muffin instead of a bun.

The Norwegian kind, hah! I have no idea how the tacos we have here compares to the Mexican or American kind.

Basically what I had was tortillas filled with Jarlsberg cheese, ground beef, salad, cucumber, tomatoes, corn, crushed tortilla chips and salsa.

Breakfast maybe. Bought like 3 pounds of bacon so might eat some of that with pancakes.

I had a recipe for days worth of tuna casserole and wasn't sure how much to scale it down, so now there's a massive bowl of tuna casserole in the fridge. It reheats surprisingly well.

French bread with ham, green pepper, and jalapeño havarti melted on top.

Then I made little pot pies with beef, tomato soup, green pepper, green apple, and cheddar cheese. Those are for later, though. I'm terrible for not cooking until I'm hungry, so I tend to make things that freeze well on days off.

I don't know. I'm really low on food and don't get my grocery $ until tomorrow. I've got some eggs and spices and a slice of bread so probably scrambled eggs.

Dinner is so far away but don't have enough for both meals :(

I put my weekly pack of raw chicken in to cook today (marinaded overnight) and then put on rice and made fried rice once the chicken was done and I could use the big pan. The juices from the chicken became part of the fried rice and then I chopped the chicken up and tossed it back in. There's still some in the fridge too.

Meanwhile, I think I left my latest batch of tea steeping for too long. It's got a bitter edge to it.
