... have you been to central or southern africa? or eastern asia? like, Iknow for a fact (firsthand experience) that breastfeeding up to about 3 is not considered weird in japan. eastern europe and russia often has 2 years as the standard age for weaning. now, the east as in the former orient, the middle east, northern africa, and anything northwest of india you'll have to keep in mind that exposing yourself, even your face, in public as a woman has been a huge problem for certain periods in many regions, or still is, so weaning early is the only way to get around sitting in your room 24/7.
