Eh, it's always cold as balls on the show, so it was probably still pretty good, and he did talk about aging the meat when he was killing Pazzi. That lip could have been visibly rotten and he would have slurped it up anyway, I'm sure, just to eat a bit of Chilton and antagonize Alana and Jack. LOL forever at that scene. Fantastic.

Yeaaaaa, I had the (very) brief thought that, "That meat probably isn't as fresh as Hannibal is used to", then I realized it didn't matter because he's Hannibal and he just wanted long-pig again. Even if the meat had been 'bad' (which it didn't look to be, from our brief view of it)...again, he's Hannibal, and he hadn't ate people for three years at that point so Chilton's ear probably tasted like ambrosia to him.

Alana and Jack's expressions were incredible, as was Hannibal's smile. You know the show is fucked up when all you can do is laugh at a guy gobbling up an ear and think, "Oh, you rascal."

I think "Oh, you rascal" was my exact reaction to this scene. It was so damn funny.

Mads has excellent comedic timing! I love how much fun he gets to have on the show, what with his cannibal puns and his rude, sassy remarks. (Like the line about hoping Chilton isn't very ugly.)

Alana's face after he makes the remark "That would've been your lip I was tasting, again"...geez, if looks could kill. I feel a bit bad about laughing so hard at how pleased he is through that whole exchange, but only a little.

There's amputated ears and lips flying everywhere in this show, don't worry.

I know, right? He's hilarious, especially about Chilton. He really does seem like he's having so much fun (I don't know if I mean Hannibal or Mads at this point!).

Alana shooting hate-lasers from her eyes whenever she looks at Hannibal is superb. Caroline Dhavernas is so great (and seriously gorgeous, she should be in more things).

Not to mention legs, and probably some other body parts I've forgotten. (Though I have not forgotten that conversation about penis by Mason, which is pretty gross even by this shows standards. Way to make Hannibal look good, Mason.)

It's a combination of Mads and Hannibal! I think Mads delights in Hannibal's wickedness as much as Hannibal does, lol. (And Hannibal really does. He loves his life, at least as long as Will isn't 'forsaking' him.)

I've always liked Alana but her turn in S3 was pretty amazing. Also, her wardrobe. Jesus Christ her wardrobe in S3 was beautiful. Between the hair and the lips and the eyes and her wardrobe she was stunning af. I don't think I've seen Caroline in anything else, but she left a good impression with Hannibal! I would welcome her in more tv.

Oh god, that bit with Mason was amazing, I was dying from laughter. The word 'penis' is said so many times, and just the way he delivers it. I love the new actor they got to play Mason.

Caroline Dhavernas is the lead character in another Bryan Fuller show from years ago called Wonderfalls. She's is so entertaining and has the greatest deapan comic delivery, I highly recommend it. She's also in a few episodes of the mini-series The Pacific, which is well worth watching.

I love the new actor they got to play Mason.

I actually didn't realize there was a new actor until I heard someone mention it. Think it was on a podcast. I thought Michael Pitt was incredible and the S3 actor sounded a lot like him to me! (With all the shit that was going on with Mason's face...it isn't like I could tell from appearance alone, lol.)

Ah, I've heard of Wonderfalls but never seen it. I did not realize she was the lead in another of Bryan's works! That's pretty cool. (Especially if she gets to do more comedy, because while Hannibal does have plenty of oddball and morbid humor, Alana is not usually the one who gets those lines.) Might check it out one day.
