Fuck the haters, Quiet is fucking awesome. From her stockings to her suppressor, she is 100% the ultimate bad-ass, and there is not a damn thing that needs to change. She's awesome, Stefani Joosten is awesome, and Hideo Kojima is awesome, and he has not one damn thing to feel ashamed of, and neither do I, for that matter.

Her outfit is idiotic in-universe, obnoxious out of it, and overwhelmingly impractical. It doesn't even look that good!
Her character is fine. Pretty much nothing else about this clusterfuck is, though.

It's not much more "idiotic" in universe than Vamps. Transparent tights instead of skin tight pants is the big difference. And really, this is a world with naked Raiden cartwheels.

"obnoxious" Really? You'll have to explain, because I don't find it obnoxious. I think the best you could say is that you find it distasteful, but that's not the same as objectively obnoxious.

"overwhelmingly impractical" clothing for a woman who can turn invisible, survive a tank round to the face, and can cover Afghanistan on foot in minuets. overwhelmingly impractical for a job interview certainly, but I fail to see what is impractical about it for this particular woman.

"It doesn't even look that good!" is about the only point I wont argue. It's a subjective point and if it puts you off for whatever reason that's you're deal and I'm fine with that, God with God.

DA but doesn't she supposedly dress that way because she can't breathe if her skin is covered up? Tights/stockings seem like an impractical choice when you have to breathe through your skin.

Between yesterday and today, I felt compelled to look her up. My immediate response was, "Do nipples normally point down and out like that?" Because mine face forward. Mine would be clearly showing in that. Is that just because I'm fairly flat or something? Or did they position them oddly on purpose? Does anyone know?

Nipples are like all other body parts, anon! They are beautiful individual things that can be almost any size, shape, and orientation you can imagine. Some are even inverted.

I have seen nipples the size of dinner plates, and nipples the size of pencil erasers. I have seen ones that point straight up at the sky and ones that hang straight downward at the tips of particularly pendulous breasts.

There is nothing odd about outward pointing nipples.

Quiet fucking rocks, I don't care about her outfit. Like, I totally eyeroll at the reason for her outfit, and I'd have appreciated it more if they'd just said they wanted a hot, scantily-dressed woman in the game (mostly because The End exists, and he wasn't nearly naked, though that would have been hilarious), 'cause at least I could respect the honesty, haha. But Quiet herself kicks ass and I adore her. Fucking fight me.

Kojima did say that, something about wanting to give the cosplayers something sexy to wear. He got oodles of shit for it. He still needs a justification for doing it in game, tho.

Her outfit is incredibly stupid but yeah I ended up not disliking the character herself, really. For one thing, she has that part where she tries to complete her mission objective while actively on fire.
