I especially hate this with words. Like, I saw someone tell the dev team of a zombie game that using the word 'zombie' was cultural appropriation (fortunately, they weren't having any of that shit). And I saw someone on Tumblr complaining bitterly about people saying 'kawaii' instead of 'cute', and I really wanted to ask them if that meant that Japan had to start using 氷菓 instead of アイスクリーム.
They probably would have just gone off about American cultural imperialism, though.

I've seen people on Tumblr say that "Y'all" is a word only black people can use. Have they never been in the South???
