Yeah, because spiky hair and blue eyes are so rare?
Other than those two rather commonplace bits, they don't look that alike to me. Srsly.

I think the OP's bone to pick does lie with the frequency of the spikey brown hair and blue eyes + boy-ish face in Nomura's designs. Sion, Sora, and now Neku. ^^; I suppose you're seeing something different between them.

Although how they're supposed to be alike in personality is beyond me. o.o Sion was an emo-kid with a girl to save, Sora was a happy little bubbly kid with a girl to save, and Neku is (apparently) an antisocial little fuck with himself to save. =D I like the guys for their personalities, so the looks don't really matter to me...

Oh god, if she's going to pick a bone with artists for having characters that look similar, she needs to look at Yuu Watase's work. Dx

8D I love switching around their hairstyles and finding they look exactly the same. Like paper dolls, but more ironic!

And don't forget the majority of yaoi artists! I love Hyouta Fujimiya and Hotaru Odagiri's stories which is more than I can say for Yuu Watase *gag*, but their characters all look exactly the same.
