Ohmygod

So over winter due to heating psoriasis has flared up on my eyelids and it's been so painful, been managing it with aloe and paw paw well enough but the heater has been winning.

Got some sigmacort 1% from the chemist and the relief was immediate. It's still red and puffy but the soreness and ichyness has eased so I'm not running as much. I want to put more on but I will obey the instructions and wait till tonight but Ohmygod the relief.

When was the last time you felt incredibly relieved over something?

Yow, that sounds awful! Glad you're feeling better.

My relief was a bit different kind. On Saturday, the second-to-last day of the season, my Angels were struggling to stay in the hunt for a post-season spot. And they were down 4 runs in the 9th inning, against one of their biggest rivals, the Texas Rangers. A Texas win would eliminate the Angels then-and-there. Well they came back with 5 runs to take the lead, one of their most improbable rallies since 2002. And they held on to it and won. In fact, the final out was a Rangers player (who represented the tying run) getting caught attempting to steal a base. My relief was enormous, like it was safe to breathe again. I was just stunned.

They were eliminated yesterday, but it's okay. That rally was just astonishing and one for the ages.

TRIGGER WARNING

Not sure who you support, anon, but if it's the Giants know that I support them pretty much anytime we're not playing each other. You've got your 3-in-6(now) and we're probably both not big Dodger fans.

But if, perhaps, you're a Red Sox fan, you can fuck off. ;)

I joined up with the YHA and it turned out the fee was only £5 and not £10 as I thought.

I had scaly eyelids too! Winter was a drying experience.
They've just settled down and now they're being blasted with air con. Sorry skin.

I have eczema so I know how maddening skin conditions can be. (Oddly enough I've had it lucky for the past year; I haven't had any major breakouts, and my skin has been pretty clear. I hate the summer because I can't stand heat, but now I'm scared of the winter drying out my skin, lol.)

Sometimes it's hard to get any relief. I'm glad you found something that worked for you! (Though I would follow instructions because sometimes those medical ointments can thin the skin.) Hopefully the ointment will clear it up soon. :(

(And sadly, I can't remember, lol.)

On Saturday I arrived at YGO locals only to almost immediately be asked to move my car so someone else could get out (their parking lot is tiny and double-parking is a routine practice)...right as the first round was starting...and I couldn't find my keys ANYWHERE. I thought I'd lost them. I looked all around the store, behind the counter, where I'd been sitting, and dug through my bag several times. I FINALLY found them in a weird side pocket they never should have been in, but man, such a relief that I didn't either lose them or lock them in the car, especially in a high-pressure situation.

I hope the guy who was waiting on me to move wasn't going anywhere really urgent. I felt bad. :(

Yay! That's great, especially with such a low level of steroids.

I managed to sleep in a little bit this morning, so I can actually function today. :)

Last week I was *immensely* relieved to discover that my Job Seeker Agent wasn't annoyed that I missed an appointment and hadn't called - she was just worried. And she told me that she made an appointment with their shrink for me, and that I should call if I needed to talk sooner than that.
So that was nice.
