yes, i meant mainstream. mariah was definitely packaged as a sweet, squeaky clean MAINSTREAM pop star when the fantasy remix came out. who do you think influenced record labels in putting rappers on pop tracks more, mariah or TLC or shanice? heck i remember that shanice song and i don't think i ever heard the rap section on pop radio or mtv.
