I really don't think this particular crossover is going to become too popular.

Not that I've seen the film, but that's probably true. (Crossover fic isn't that popular in general. I guess the only exception would be something like SuperWhoLock, but I honestly have no idea if there's lots of fic for that either.)

I was trying not to spoil, but yes he's barely in the movie. He has the fewest lines of any character pretty much.
elaminator: (Captain America: Bucky (smile))

[personal profile] elaminator 2015-10-08 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I figured as much. (Which, hey, whatever! A role is a role and at least he got to be in a good film for once, lmao. Apparently.)

Is this guy becoming more generic looking as he gets older?

[personal profile] dancing_clown 2015-10-07 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
You mean he didn't look generic from the start?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-07 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to be able to pick him out of a lineup, but I had to read the entirety of the secret before remembering who he was just now.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-07 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? out of all the generic actors out there, I would not include him. Not many actors have those heavy (slavic?) features.

Sorry. He's only not generic to me when he has atypical stylings that are not innate (long hair and guyliner, for instance). Otherwise, he's just an attractive square-jawed white guy with dark hair and light eyes. Like every other attractive, square-jawed white guy with dark hair and light eyes in Hollywood.

That's not to say everyone's some kind of clone, but they're hardly distractingly unique.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Wrong.

The only way he looks generic is if you're pretending to be faceblind. There aren't that many people in Hollywood who look so clearly Romanian.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Like...those are pretty damn distinctive features. Most big name actors are more...Aryan looking.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
To people who aren't used to making the distinction of how Romanian people looks he fits in with every other white male we often see in movies, and I'm sure the casting directors that got him those roles agree.

As a slavic person, I can tell you that no, he does not look particularily slavic to me (Jeremmy Renner does, on the other hand, go figure) // And he doesn't look very Romanian either - I've just came back from Romania and...nope.

I don't know. I think he is visibly aging, and he's holding his jaw a little differently there?

But a lot of that is lighting and makeup. We're not used to seeing him side-lit.

I noticed this actually. HIs look is always so distinctive to me, but it took me a little while to recognize him in The Martian.

There already is one

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Before the movie came out. I hadn't seen the trailer yet, so I got pissed because I read a lot of it, thought it was interesting, and from the looks of things it's pretty copy paste. And I like science movies, so it's kinda ruined...

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
One what? Crossover?

Re: There already is one

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Fusion, actually

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
there's barely any crossovers for this so lol @ u

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
For now. The more people see it, the more there are.

Well, considering all the xovers i've seen with T.J. Hammond/Cap and his character from 'Kings' and Cap, I think it's going to happen for sure. I just hope it's *good* fusion/xover fic. I'm all for Bucky and other characters in the same universe, too - bring it!

:)

Who IS this, gentle readers? Thank you!

(Anonymous) 2015-10-08 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Sebastian Stan.
