Depending on where you live this is very illegal.

I know this because I'm a teacher. I am not allowed to use ANYTHING from a child (work, face, voice) that goes outside the classroom without parental consent. If this person lives in an area like mine I would HIGHLY recommend you report them to the proper authorities. Normally I'm all about saying things like, "Hey, let them know so they can fix they're behavior." However, where I live there is a zero-tolerance policy. I'm not legally allowed to give someone a second chance.

So, yeah, the more you know.

Honestly if they're an adult and a teacher, and they think this is okay, reporting them and making them face consequences for this is probably the best or only way to get them to stop because they likely won't be moved by someone pointing out why its bad.

I don't know. I agree but then I've also known some real dumb people who apparently never caught the memo that's it's illegal. Even though it's told to us all the fucking time. However, simply because of my job I would not want to be implicated and accused of furthering illegal activities by not reporting, which is a thing that can happen. So if the OP is also in some school government position, even a janitor or cafeteria worker, they're technically obligated to report by law and can be charged with failing to report otherwise.

Wait, did they actually post the student's face online????

I was confused by this secret at first and I still don't see where it says that they did that. But if they did...holy SHIT. yeah that is really creepy and awful. :(

Ah, when I read it, the part that said they were squeeing about students, added to the top part where it talks about teenagers taking creepshots, implies to me that the teachers are taking pictures of students. Did I misunderstand?

Well, one of us did, since the secret was vague IMO. (It was probably me tbh.) But like I said, if there were pics - HELLA creepy and unacceptable.

I once used a guy I know as a model for some (sfw) Harry Potter fanart because he was the spit of the fanon idea for young Snape.

However, I did not link photos of him to anyone, even the ones freely available on the internet (he was a professional musician in his 20s then) because many on my flist wrote porny fic of teenage Snape and I did not want his photos associated with that. And they would have been used that way. A few of my flist used images of some young porn stars for that purpose, and this guy was a much better facial fit than them. Although the main problem I had with using the sex workers for shipping was that they did not look like they were having fun in that porn clip I was linked to, and why would anyone want to associate their ship with that?

Minor point: Creepshots are not photos taken without consent, those may be creepy by some peoples measure but the term creepshot is used to describe creepy photos taken without consent E.g Upskirts, down tops, beach wear, accidental nudity etc. Rule of thumb, if the photo depicts the person in public as they have chosen to be seen in public, and they could reasonably be expected to seen in an average park or busy street it's not a creepshot. Might still be creepy, especially if it's of a woman, just not a creepshot.

was going to say that. All my photos would be creepshots then, because I like photographing interesting looking people in public places. Like, four women who cross a street in just the right formation so it looks like the abbey road cover, or a guy with a live bunny on his shoulder and stuff.

You pearl-clutchers scare me even more than the teacher in this secret. People don't condemn others so loudly unless they're hiding some secrets of their own.
