You ought to get yourself on Ebay, that'll be where your Bidoof stuff is! I know Bidoof got merch, but that was back in 2007 when DP was new.

I know there's a Zangoose plushie out there in the Japan Pokecenters that I want, but I also want a Noivern plushie...

It's probably easiest for stores to go with recognizable characters, and since there are a ridiculous amount of pokemon now, the first gen tend to remain the most recognizable.

I'd go the internet route. Even if there is merchandise many stores these days don't stock things anyway, and this goes for everything, not just pokemon merchandise.

It's because most of the merchandise caters to genwunners from the 90's that liked pokemon as a phase and now it's "hip" to buy 90's merch.

I've been in the fandom since gen one too, but I enjoy each generation more as time goes on. The majority of my favorites are gen 6.

The Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games were the first I played and they have remained my favorite for a very long time now...one would think it would be easier to find mudkip stuff (mudkip = my favorite starter) but one would be WRONG. Also genwunners are the most obnoxious pokefans and can go jump in the lake thanks much.

My faves never get much merchandise/show up in ads or spinoff games. I've learned to consider it a small blessing to my wallet. :^)

Normally I'd recommend Pokevault, but I just checked and they don't have any Bidoof merch either. :C

Pokevault is great, but just be aware that Brian puts an insane markup on things. He ships fast and is reliable, but the trade off is a big markup.

I grew up with pokemon since its started and honestly Gen 1 is overrated as hell (and looking back, was a very poor game) and I wish the nostalgia for it would move on already. Genwunners are some of the most annoying people to ever encounter too. I'll be really pissed if they remake gen 1 again over 4 when Platinum is arguably one of the best games in the series.

But yeah, like others I suggest ebay or amazon. Pokemon Center is slowly but surely adding more pokes as each game gets released. I've been happy about the gen 3 stuff since those were my favorites.
