Well, it's not his grandfather, it's his great-great-great-grandfather.

And, I mean, I'm not saying it's the right attitude to take, but I'm saying it doesn't make him a bad person in and of itself

Maybe the fact that both of his parents came from upper-class backgrounds, and more broadly that his family had been prominent in high society for a long time, had something to do with how they got the opportunity to be actors on prime time TV for years.

A gentle reminder that "cottage" doesn't refer to a one room shepherd's hut with an outhouse round back. It might not be a palace, but it's hardly a council flat and given that it's in the countryside, real estate prices are insane in the UK and his neighbor is Kate Moss, it's probably upwards of a million pounds. He went to Harrow and he's posh.
