/I did insane amounts of research. I reached out to betas. I worried about woobifying the characters. I cringed every time I slipped into inserting fanon characterizations./

It sounds like you took the fandom really seriously. Not everyone does.

I guess as long as you're not being a snob to the newbies it's okay to be disappointed in the fic. Some people just write for fun/have no problem posting what should be drawerfic under their username (hey secret #1~)
