Movie/TV scenes that are hotter than they have any business being?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-10 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
I watched The D-Train after the secret about it the other day, and although the adultery angle did nothing for me, I did find Jack Black and James Marsden making out really hot:

There's something about the awkwardness of Black's character that does it for me and makes me want to see him in more roles kissing dudes.

Have you guys had similar experiences?

I haven't seen it but I'm curious. What happens?

A fivesome in a hot tub. (Among other places, at the same time... it's a weird psychic thing)

There was a scene in Daredevil where the eponymous character was beating up probably 6 or 7 guys at once. It was unreasonably sexy.

Also, I liked the scene where he got his ass kicked by the mob guy, Nobu, but for different reasons.

Ooh the one in the hallway?? Fuck, yeah

OH SHIT. I thought I was the only one who felt uncomfortably hot when his ass was getting kicked by Nobu. Good Lord, have mercy...when those chains rolled him back...and I don't go for that kind of thing, but I had to fan myself.

Bit of blood and vague spoilers for Daredevil?

Non-sexual scenes are what I am going with.

That one scene in SPN where YED!John is threatening Dean.

Any of the fight scenes in CA:TWS.

And anytime a Marvel hero gets the shit kicked out of them.

Nearly every scene in Case Histories. Jason Isaacs voice does it for me every time. Also every scene in Awake and all the ones he's in in Brotherhood. I only sometimes find him physically hot, but I always find his voice really hot.

Voice is a big thing for me in general, TBH. If I find an actor's voice hot, I'll find even the least sexual scenes with them in it hot. I've watched exactly one episode of Robin Hood because it was too awful for me to keep watching even with Armitage, but I could listen to him talk forever.

I wonder if someone has put together a video somewhere of just his scenes on that show.

Ooh I know exactly what you mean about voices. I recently developed a bit of a thing for JK Simmons just because of his voice and now even a few scenes in Gravity Falls start getting me all tingly

The Halloween episode of Newsradio. Because of the dynamics, not just the costume.

That scene in Midnight Cowboy where Jon Voight wipes the sweat from sick Dustin Hoffman's brow with the hem of his shirt. It was hot as fuck to me for some reason and it hit me right in my underdeveloped h/c kink.

Also thanks for the link because yeah, that's pretty hot.

Ahh god, that friggin movie. It just left me wanting ALL the h/c, lord
elaminator: (Kingsman: Harry (gun))

basically a lot of violence

Oh god, totally going to hell for all of these.

That scene in Hannibal (tv) where Will is imagining Hannibal strung up (at Mason's) and he slits Hannibal's throat while he stares calmly at him. (There is nothing about that scene that should be hot. Don't ask me why I find it hot. I don't know. I find murdery! Will hot in general, and always feel guilty for it.)

Also that scene where Hannibal tries to break down his pantry door by jumping into it over and over again like a damn animal. It was terrifying, don't get me wrong, but also hot. (I need Jesus, I know.)

Harry Hart. Just everything about Harry Hart.

Everything about The Winter Soldier.

That scene anon mentioned with Matt Murdock beating the shit out a large group of guys in one take.

Kahlan from LOTS confessing people. Cara with an agiel.

Anyone from Person of Interest wrecking havoc. (Shaw, Root, Reese, etc.)

Er, also Raiden going all 'Ripper' before the Monsoon fight.

That scene in 3B where possessed! Stiles stabs Scott in the stomach...

Oh god, how did I forget nogitsune!Stiles?!

Everything nogitsune!Stiles did was beautiful magic. (IA, the Scott stabbing was hot. Dylan's acting during that scene...uhhhhhhhhhh. Again, should not have been hot. He was so damn good though, what with the nonchalant way his fingers played with the hilt of the sword before he kind of looked away in annoyance and twisted the sword after Scott pleaded for him not too... Why? Why is it hot?)

That scene in the original UK Strike Back series, where Richard Armitage was left beaten up and half-naked on what amounted to a whipping post in the middle of the desert. Gods fucking dammit. *fans self*

It's from a Youtube series, but the Patricia Clarkson episode of "7 Minutes in Heaven (with Mike O'Brien)". It's lightly patterned after the US party game with the same name: O'Brien, a comedian, does nonsensical or awkward interviews with celebrities in a closet, with optional drinks, and then has an often cringe-worthy kiss with them at the end. They're both pretty tipsy in this one, but maybe it's that it's the only actual mutual kiss, or O'Brien getting flustered instead of the interviewee, or Clarkson's husky flirting, or how much fun they're having -- but their second kiss is pretty great for an otherwise goofy online short.
