Well, technically this is a fanfiction term and its more "don't GET" then don't like.

Idfic- I've seen people talking on this comm about idfic that they'd just NEVER post and it...kinda confuses me. Like I have fic I would probably keep to myself and my friends because some of it has characters only they are really familiar with.

But I sorta don't quite understand why, someone would be too embarrassed to post say a h/c fic with their fave pairing. Like I get people not posting it so as not to worry about the pressure and they like keeping it to what it is. But...I guess I just don't get why people would be embarrassed to post something that...honestly seems like something that would be well accepted or commonplace online.

Like I don't see any reason to be embarrassed about it, other than this idea that are "embarrassing"

Sayings I don't like

*cringe* - Mostly because reddit jerks.

"jesus wept" - mostly because of an asshole I met online who used that constantly when he saw something he didn't approve of or didn't like. Which as it turns out was nearly everything. Also he declared people who wrote certain things "lower" than him and pulled some stupid high school "you can't talk to me you write this" bullcrap.

That's interesting, in regards to your second phrase.

I've only ever heard and used "Jesus wept" as a quick ways to say grace before meals(the joke being Jesus wept--why? because he was hungry--and then everyone eats).

da - My (ex-Catholic) mother used it to swear when she was very angry.

sa - ...originally it was a way to say JESUS! without taking the Lord's name in vain.
