I once won the Super Bowl betting pool that I'd paid $5 to enter. I won $145, and enraged my coworkers because I wasn't even watching the stupid Super Bowl anyway. (I hate football.)

I also won a second-place prize in a contest where I had to suggest locations for a photoshoot for a company's products. I sung the praises of the company's products (which I genuinely loved) and of my hometown and some of its more picturesque locations. I won a set of the products I was praising and was very pleased!
