I got to admit I gave up on this show when it went all biblely. I don't know if i could get back into it if i wanted too.

The Biblical tone was always a bit off putting for me, but I stuck with it. Fortunately, the show itself isn't really religious outside of the whole Revelations/Armageddon thing.

can I just say that I love the word "biblely"

I'm glad it's getting better. I haven't watched any of season 3 yet, but hopefully I can get caught up soon.

I feel the same about this quirky little show. Season 2 really sucked but 3 definitely seems a bit better. The ratings took a fatal hit. I don't think it will be renewed. Sadly.

I still need to watch the last episode of season 2. But yay for more Jenny!

I know just how you feel; the show is worlds better this season! I finished up S2 even though I spent half of it enormously disappointed, but the first two episodes of this season were both delightful. I hope the show can keep this going and maybe pull in some new viewers; I believe this show deserves a second chance. If the network would advertise it more maybe it would do better, but I share your fear of cancellation; at this rate it probably won't get a S4.

For me Sleepy Hollow has been 'that silly, fun adventure show with a side of shipping' and I'd like for it to continue so I can keep having that. There aren't many shows I'm currently watching that give me that particular combination of things, and when Sleepy Hollow does get it right I adore it.

And yes, more Jenny! (She was incredible in that second episode.) I'm glad Joe Corbin is back too, and hope we get lots of Jenny/Corbin and Abbie&Jenny&Corbin scenes this season.

I didn't hate season 2-it definitely wasn't perfect, no, but I thought there were some good individual episodes throughout, and there were some ideas that I think were interesting in and of themselves, even if they didn't really pan out well in execution. And while I won't argue they didn't really know what to do with Katrina, I'm still iffy on the way she was killed off (or that she had to be killed off at all).

But I definitely think season 3 is off to a very good start, and I'm glad that fans who are still watching seem generally pleased with this new season thus far, too. I hope they can make a good turnaround and get back to what made the show so popular in the first season, and manage to stick around for a while. And I share in the Jenny love. I want more good Abbie and Jenny scenes-they work so well together.

Also, on a completely different note, Abbie's new haircut is REALLY cute. I want my hair styled like hers.

I feel you. There were at least a few quality episodes in S2 (haven't rewatched it, not sure how many) and even bad episodes can have good moments. It wasn't a total loss. The finale was excellent to me anyway, and it's been good since then so I have some hope that the show is going to continue on a positive path. It might not be renewed which is sad, but despite that I want this season to be strong.

I think you could arguably say that about a lot of tv shows, but it sums up S2 of SH pretty well.

As for Katrina...I don't know. I wouldn't have been against her staying on if the writers were going to do something interesting with her, but I felt like they wasted that character by not giving her any decent story-lines or letting her actually practice magic until she went evil. The actress seemed like she was having fun at the end of the season, but before that...not so much. I can't say I miss her, but I would've been okay with an alternate route had it been well done. That said, what we got works for me. At least so far.

Definitely. It was disheartening to go into the tumblr tag last season. Not that I blamed people for being upset with the direction of the show, but seeing so many other people just as disappointed as me (or more-so) was a downer. I'm glad people are liking the show again.

More Abbie and Jenny would be great, yea, and I'd also like to see Jenny and Ichabod work more together because that scene they had in the premiere was really cute. Plus, Pandora is an excellent villain thus far! I am loving how much magic she's been doing; the show seemed to have learned their lesson regarding that.

Yes! And she and Ichabod practically have the same haircut; it's adorable. lol. It suits them both very well. I would be into that style myself, but who knows if I could pull it off.

Glad to find someone else who agrees the season wasn't a total loss :). I have yet to rewatch it, too-haven't gotten the DVD yet-but I know there were some episodes that I enjoyed. And like you said, bad episodes can have good moments, too. I'm like that with all my shows in general-even if a season or episode isn't a favorite, I usually can still find SOMETHING good about it, even if it's only, like, one scene, or a handful of episodes.

The finale would definitely be on my "good episodes" list, yes. And if this season going well leads to the show getting renewed, then yay! And if the show doesn't get renewed, then at least the series would've ended on a much more positive note for the fans and shown it could redeem itself. So win-win either way in the end, I'd say :).

Very true about that attitude applying to a lot of shows. And with Katrina, yeah, I definitely agree they should've done a lot more with her. I wanted to see her using her magic, whether she went evil or not, and I definitely think she should've gotten some better storylines.

An example of my comment about "good idea, weak execution"-I liked the idea of her being sympathetic to Henry's plight, and I think that could've been an interesting angle to expand upon for her character, whether she went evil or not. Not just for Henry, either-that could've worked for any of the other supernatural foes she and/or the others fought or worked with. There could've been some good things done with the "sympathy for the devil", so to speak, angle for her. But they didn't really handle that very well and just kept it being a circular argument between her and Ichabod, so that concept kind of fizzled out.

And once she got into the 21st century, it could've been interesting to see how she handled the sudden and dramatic changes as a woman-we had Ichabod's bumbling, amusing reactions to the new century, it'd be interesting to get that from a woman's perspective. She sees all the rights and privileges women have now that she didn't get in her day. Would that have had an impact on her powers somehow? Would that have affected whether or not she went evil, and if she did, how she went evil? Stuff like that. I wouldn't have necessarily made that a BIG storyline for her, but it could've been a good thing to touch on a little for her.

But ah, well. They dealt with it last season, and it's understandable the show wants to just move on and keep going forward, and I think that's a wise way to go. And if the drama and other show problems got to the actress herself, it's certainly better for her that she was able to move on and away from it all, too. So yeah. I think you're right in that they handled it as best they could.

Not on Tumblr, but I've certainly heard about the place and oh, yeah, I can just imagine how much people must've been ranting! The few places I did go online (TV Line and SpoilerTV), though, there were a lot of disappointed and angry fans there, too. Very depressing indeed, especially considering how much fun everyone had with the show the first season. So here's hoping this positive trend continues!

Ooh, yeah, definitely! I seem to remember them having a couple good moments last season, too (I want to say it was in the season premiere? Something involving a car?), and it was nice to touch upon that again. I like it when shows explore the different dynamics among the characters, and it's only natural Ichabod will have more interaction with anyone who's close to Abbie in general, so...yeah. Bring on those scenes, indeed :D.

I like Pandora, too. I like the mix of innocent and shady she's got going on, and agreed that it is good to see her using her powers so much. I hope she proves to be a REALLY good antagonist for the gang.

Hahahaha, I know, right :D? If the show ever addresses that, that'd be awesome. I kind of missed Ichabod's long hair at first, but I've gotten used to the shorter hair and it suits him nicely :).

Very, very seldom do you come across an episode or season that has absolutely nothing to offer; even the worst shows have their moments.

Yea, I wouldn't have blamed her for wanting to leave. I know at least a few of the SH fans were quite rude to her, which is just unacceptable; she is not her character, and she doesn't even make the decisions about her character.

Can't remember all the details, but I do think they shared a car ride at one point; I think that's around the time Ichabod saw Abbie in his mirror (Jenny was beside him, and Abbie was contacting him from purgatory)?

I admit I am a little disappointed because I wanted Pandora and Abbie to interact more before they realized she was a big bad (Pandora almost seemed flirty in that first episode...I was all for that, lol) but I'm still pleased with what we've seen of her. I hope she sticks around for the whole season, even if we get some lesser villains too.

Well, Abbie certainly noticed the cut, but not how similar it is to her own. Come on, show! And I thought Ichabod's long hair was gorgeous, but Tom pulls this off nicely too.

Eh. I quit after what they did to Katrina in order to push the IchAbbie angle - despite REPEATEDLY stating in early S1 that they WEREN'T going to do that, and wasn't it refreshing to have a show where the leads were just friends? I just can't with this show.

I don't think Katrina was killed off to appease shippers though, I think Katrina was killed off because the writers didn't know what to do with her and the audience was frustrated with the focus on her and Ichabod's family. If S2 had been well written maybe there wouldn't have been such a massive outcry against the characters and the story, but at least for me... It wasn't.

As for Ichabod/Abbie you either ship it or you don't. I've been in the situation where I preferred the mains staying friends instead of hooking up, but in this case I truly like the chemistry and dynamic between Ichabod and Abbie. I don't think the show is going to have them get together though, but I wouldn't put flirtation and some hints past them; that said, I thought the other seasons had bits of that too.

But... Ichabod and Abbie are still friends. Just friends. I've seen this complaint a lot: "They killed Katrina off to please the crazy shippers!!!" but I'm just not seeing this reflected in the show itself so I have no idea where the misconception is coming from.

Also... SPOILERS SPOILERS LOOK AWAY NOW SPOILERS... in season 3 they've introduced a possible new romantic interest for Abbie, which makes the theory that the show is "pushing" Ichabbie even less likely.

I really liked how adventurous and silly season one was, but season two was a disaster. I'm surprised it wasn't cancelled 3/4 of the way through. I'm really, really hoping they can pull it back this season and not get cancelled, but... maybe if they do, there's always Netflix?

After the whole 'turn a female character evil/kill her off to appease entitled fangirl shippers' thing, I couldn't stomach the show anymore. It was kind of boring to me, but that was just the final nail in the coffin.
