So Jim Carrey basically caused his lover to kill herself because of Scientology? Right?

Yes. Once he left, there were too many thetans for her to handle.

How is this fandom-related? This is just a person blog post with the word "fanfic" tacked on to make it seem sort of vaguely fandom-ish.

That descript constitutes about 60% of the secrets posted here lately.

Yes, but this one is especially egregious. The text of this secret has a total of one word that is remotely relevant to fandom.

One. Fucking. Word.

The sad thing is it's probably the only genuine secret this comm has had in years. It's too boring to be made up.

Well, there are lots of ways to show people you care, even without telling them. (Though it's a good idea to tell them, too.) Doing nice things for them, being there when they need someone to talk to, showing that you remember the things that matter to them, small surprises, things like that.

Good on you for opening up and good luck, OP! :)

Even if you aren't great with words, there are other ways to show you care and express yourself! Keep trying, OP.

Exactly :). Adding on to the good luck wishes, OP!

I'm in a similar place, anon. I've always been a very private person; a history of childhood abuse doesn't help. Revealing my emotions is DANGER to me, and I still have trouble typing out "I love you", let alone saying it out loud.

But I'm getting there. I have an affectionate friend who always tells me nice things; I'm learning from her.

High five and best of luck <3

Things like this piss me off. "Crying so much, so alone, can't friends or emotional connections, if it wasn't for my boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/significant other I wouldn't have anybody!"

YOU'RE NOT ALONE. YOU'VE GOT SOMEONE TO FUCK. WELL DONE, YOU HAVE WON AT SOCIETY.
