Kishimoto signing/q&/shot down sasukarin

A popular Sasukarin shipper got to ask Kishimoto at the book signing about why Karin didn't get Sasuke, and his response was because it was his choice to make Sasuke/Sakura happen. Welp, almost a year later but at least that dumb argument is settled!

He was also really nice, signing slowly so people could talk to him, and bowing to fans/thanking them.

That settles nothing lmao. "Because I wanted to" is the real answer to any question of why an author wrote something some way, but it's obviously not the one anyone is looking for if they're asking it. So it's kind of an asshole cop-out response, although given the entitled behavior of bitter shippers I can't entirely blame him for going with it.

It does settle things. They swore up and down he was forced to do it, and really wanted Narusaku/SasuKarin. There he flat out said, nope, he made it Sasuke/Sakura because he wanted to. He wasn't forced, it wasn't a 'cash grab', it was because it was his choice.

I mean, sure, NS/SK are filling their pampers and screaming 'lies! fraud! piece of shit!', but they have absolutely no legs to stand on anymore.
