One, Four, and Six (especially Six were pretty jerky to everyone they met too, much more than Ten. Does that make them homophobes, too? Seriously, I'm honestly confused.

And leaving Jack isn't evidence that Ten is a homophobe, because Nine did that.

Uhm, Four was not homophobic. He was one of the most tolerant (= Androids of Tara, Robots of Death) and friendly Doctors. If he didn't like someone, he just didn't talk to them, and he was certainly not homophobic - there's even wuite a bit of subtext between him and various male characters.

Subtext between Four and various male characters?! :O I don't remember any... Please elaborate!

Oh man. XD
Check out the Who's queer (http://www.nyder.com/stuff/whosqueer.html) guide (it's basically a collection of all slightly queer moments in Doctor Who).

I fondly remember his signature, "Love, the Doctor", in his letter to Leonardo da Vinci, and the Doctor remarking rather out of the blue to Farrah (Androids of Tara) "You look better without your helmet".

I deny The Creature from the Pit. It's too scary to contemplate. XD

Whoa, wait, I never said Four was homophobic or anything of the sort. I was responding to the comment that there was subtext Ten was homophobic because he was "a dick to pretty much everybody." (not that I especially agree with that) And it's not strictly true that if Four didn't like someone he didn't talk to them; just as often he talked down to them, and even those he liked he had a tendency to ignore or dismiss.

I don't think any of the Doctors are homophobic, but saying one of them is because he's a "dick" is just silly. And I'm baffled as to how Ten is worse than past Doctors when as far as I know he hasn't, say, locked his granddaughter out of the Tardis (One), forced a companion to choose between him and her mother (Nine), or never went back for a companion, forcing her to wonder whether he'd lived or died (Four). All the Doctors have their moments.

Okay, so was I, and I really don't know why I left the comment after yours. XD Sorry.
Well, Four mostly ignored people he didn't like, he only talked down to them or argued if they started an argument or he wanted to show other people present that they (the one he's talking down to) is in the wrong.

I agree none of the Doctors are homophobic, at least not their characters. But Ten comes awfully close - it's the subtext of his diccussion with Jack, that he left Jack behind because he couldn't stand to be around him. Jack even asks whether he's prejudiced. (And the Doctor acts like that never ocured to him, but still.)
