The context of the whipping scene is disturbing, but out of context it's a hot nugget of sadism.

I started out liking Outlander but found my interest waning after the wedding.

I have not seen these scenes, but it wouldn't be the first time someone watched select parts of a piece of media. It's pretty common for people to upload kissing or sex scenes including their favorite actors to youtube.

And then there are people who upload all the scenes the actor has in the film or tv show. (While I understand this is convenient, this was frustrating when I was having a hell of a time finding someplace to watch Taron Egerton in The Smoke; I kept thinking, "Why didn't you upload the entire thing?!" I imagine whole episodes are much more likely to be deleted for copyright infringement, though.)

Anyway, I've done this for kissing scenes and such.

Ugh, I stopped watching Outlander as soon as those non-con sadism scenes started up - and until now I've always loved Tobias Menzies's work.

But, whatever floats your boat.

I tried to watch this but didn't make it past the first episode. The dialogue was just so bad, and not even the entertaining sort of awful. Just dull and excruciating, like you say.

You're probably doing it right.

I thought of doing it too, only I have an irrational fear that my viewing habits would stay on my Amszon account history for ever and I don't trust them. DVDs all the way for pausing the naughty bits.
