And Zombie Heinlein refers to the movement, closely associated with those guys, where only science fiction written in the style of Robert Heinlein's very early Sci-Fi works counts as "real" science fiction. It should only explore technical innovation and never have any wider social context. It should be noted that Heinlein's later works fail drastically the Heinlein Test.

AYRT
wow, i hadn't heard of that one...

so, do they think innovations just appear magically out of thin air or something?

They genuinely do not care, but they viciously condemn any SF that does not have its sole emphasis on engineering or physical technology. Some of them even reject the idea of calculations being done with anything other than a slide rule. They are both the worst kind of math nerds and technological luddites at the same time.

That's so ridiculous. I grew up on and enjoy the Heinlein Juveniles (I learned to read on them since my dad read them to me every night), but they are just one type of scifi. They are good but so are other things. to hold up one style as superior is so narrow minded and stupid.

WOW. wow. that's... well, you know, anti-vaxxers and flat-earthers exist, so I shouldn't really be surprised.
