I like the headcanon, but disagree with those who try to argue it's canon (given the original evidence was based on a slur in Japanese, I kind of side-eye them).

If Nintendo decided to make it canon, that'd be cool, but it will never happen. Or at least not for a long time.

Yeah, headcanon is all well and good (even if it does require samus being self-aware and everybody being accepting of her desired gender as a very young child) but Brianna had no business trying to change the official wiki page(not to mention that was just embarrassing). Even if it wasn't a joke in poor taste, i'm not listening to a background designer over what a lot of other people were trying to do.
