They look like scuffs or scratches but are not???

Neat! I have one on every nail on left hand and then the thumbnail is many. I wonder what my reason is? Hopefully none of the dire causes.

Sometimes this is indicative of a vitamin deficiency. It's probably not something to worry about overmuch, however.

If your nails start becoming excessively brittle or soft or more white spots start appearing you may want to go get yourself a general workup to determine if you need to be supplementing, though.

Urgh aww man I hope not but a possibility. Sometimes my system just...stops absorbing vitamins and I got to go get giant injections of pain and the tests.

Who has time to go sit at the walk in for 3 hours?!

Nobody, that's who. I'd suggest just making an appointment with your primary care provider in lieu of waiting around for just a simple order for blood work.
