I've gotten a side gig recently where I basically get money without working for it, but oh my god, the lady I'm supposed to be reporting to and I have some serious communication issues.

I filled in my first timesheet and sent to her on the first and was supposed to get paid today. Well, no money. Looked over at my contract and supposedly I will get paid around the twelfth, so maybe I get paid tomorrow or something instead idk. But then I looked over my timesheet, and ooops, I seem to have forgotten to fill in a few things. So I'm thinking that might be why I haven't gotten paid yet. That's completely my fault, but like I said, this is the first time I've done this. But this lady has now had this piece of paper for the past 11 days, and I haven't heard a word from her. Nothing. So now I'm just irritated because I know I've done something wrong and it annoys me that she hasn't brought it to my attention. At least give me a heads up like "I see you missed this field, be sure to fill it out next time" or whatever. Blaaaah, and I don't even want to contact her because it is just such a pain in the ass. If I don't get paid or hear from her by the end of the week I'll have to contact her to hear what's up, but almost dreading it already.

Just hoping to get the money tomorrow and then not make the same mistake next month.

See what tomorrow brings; maybe the problem will be solved. If not, even though it's not entirely your fault, you could start out by saying you know you made this mistake, and so sorry, etc, just wondering if she needed anything else fixed so she could pay you. Not sure what the communication issues are between you, but that will at least open up the conversation without pointing out her errors. Which might be satisfying on some level, but hey, you just want your money. I find that if I admit where I screwed up straight off the bat, people are more likely to want to help me out.

Or maybe the money will be there tomorrow and there's no problem at all. Fingers crossed for you!
