I'd like to...but I think the only way we could ever really have an even talk is with some kind of third party help. because our relationship is kind of uneven, they respond to things they don't like with punishments or threats and label it as 'disrespect' or 'bad behavior'

(and considering that today me crying in public when I was talking to her because of a stressful day? yeah also 'bad behavior' I don't even)

I do still pay rent though. Doesn't make much difference form when I didn't pay rent IMO, but eh.

I don't though. Not really I mean there have been times were I possibly spread some goop on my hands to a wall or light switch. But.. Usually unless they find proof (like wrappers or something) they don't know. Hell I once hid a can of alcoholic beverage in one of my drawers and got rid of it with them none the wiser.

Do you go to a therapist or something? If you do you could ask your parents if they want to go to a session with you and have the therapist act as third party. There seems to be a lot of issues that you should at least try to resolve if you are planning on still living with your parents.

From what I remember you saying from previous threads, like with your parents not letting you learn how to drive and some money things and them punishing you by taking away your internet and stuff, they seem to have a lot of control issues when it comes to you. It really doesn't feel like a healthy environment for any of you, but for you least of all. Or at least not from the way I remember you writing things.

I really hope you manage to either get your own place or find some solutions that allows you to live on more equal grounds with your parents soon.

(I really feel I should add that I'm neither stalker anon nor spreadsheet anon, I'm just good at remembering random things about what people post .__. )

I did but with my insurance issues (upcoming changing insurance), it got to be too much.

I just try to work with what I can and save up money. Sometime we'll be moving somewhere else where I can possibly get away and reach some friends.

Right now occasional venting and validation of my feelings that the things they do aren't normal helps.

(Hey I understand. I tend to remember things a lot too.)

oh my gosh. They are literally treating you like a child. like a ten-year-old.

you said above that it helps to validate that this is not normal. It's not. It's really, REALLY not. I do hope you are able to reach out to those friends soon!

(and if you lived near me I would totally teach you how to drive myself)

Thanks. I hope I get close to them soon. All of them also agree that my parents behavior alarms them.
