Last Tuesday I posted about my cat who was ill, and how worried I was. He was supposed to have a blood sample taken on Wednesday, and go to a clinic on Tuesday, and my mom was worried he wouldn't live until then.

On Wednesday, he had his blood work done, and the vet told us he had liver disease, and there was nothing that could be done, and if we took him to the clinic he might not live through it.

Well, it's a week later, and he's still around. A bit weak, but he's got enough energy to play with little balls and run over and jump on me if I sit down on the couch. He can purr again. It's hard to believe a week ago we thought he might not live for even a day longer.

Of course, he's still sick, and probably won't live too long, and might have to be put to sleep if it gets bad. But it's nice that he has some energy and seems happy for now.

Hopefully if he has to go, he can go peacefully and happy. Losing a pet sucks ass.

Awww. Yeah, that's definitely a positive sign. I hope he continues to have as many good days as he can.

I'm happy he's not in pain and glad you have more time to spend with him. Hopefully when the time comes it will be quick and peaceful.

I'm sorry that it sounds like he's not completely out of the woods, but it's great that he's feeling better, and that he's still kicking.

That's good. I hope you don't have to watch him suffer too much anymore, whatever happens from here.
