Re: Favorite and least favorite cartoon style?

I like beautiful or otherwise appealing anime art. Gurren Lagann is great for example. Durarara!! is another one I've actually seen that has really good art, though the characters themselves are kind of average to me; it's more the overall execution of the animation plus music and sound plus the way the backgrounds are done which is pretty great imo.

I don't like certain styles of cartoons. Many don't bother me, and there's a lot that I think is just mediocre (Family Guy, for example) in terms of art. I think Rugrats is pretty bad - I mean it's well-done, but the style is ugly to me, and other stuff that looks like that is stuff I wouldn't go out of my way to watch. (I feel like there are better examples, but I'm spacing on them at the moment.)

To be clear, I'm not taking a "anime rocks and Western cartoons suck!" because there are anime styles I dislike and Western styles I love (Avatar, SU, and MLPFIM are all really visually appealing to me for example) - just that my favorite and least favorite styles happened to come from those general areas.
