Two things:

First, attraction isn't necessarily voluntary. It can be fluid and complicated, and one can choose whether or not to act on it, but it usually isn't something that people consciously choose to feel.

Second, while those complaints may cite individual examples, they're still focused on men in aggregate, and they're ultimately critiques of society and social notions of masculinity. There's room within that framework for finding men with whom one might want to spend time.
