I don't really think there's an across-the-board average, just a personal average, which might overlap with some other people's personal averages but not others.

I'm a girl. I'm fairly inconsistent actually. A week before my period every day sometimes multiple times. A week after my period I don't at all. Any time in-between that and it will be once every two-four days or so. However, if I'm super stressed I don't do it at all so I can go months without it.

Only on months when my period is fixing to be pretty bad. And by bad I really just mean the intensity of the hormones, not necessarily the pain or whatever. It seems to be connected to my libido, which is otherwise nonexistent. I wish my body'd get the clue it's not getting kids out of this, so stop sending that signal. It's worse than a nagging mother.
