You're not alone. Faramir/Boromir is pretty popular. It's weird for me because I like a lot of incest ships but this one never really clicked for me. The only people I can ship Boromir with are Merry and Pippin and even then, I'm really meh about it. Boromir just isn't a very shippable character to me.

And, on a non-ship level, even Boromir and Faramir as brothers is meh, which is like the complete opposite of my usual tastes. I usually love family exploration and family feels but I guess I just don't care about Boromir. I adore Faramir but Boromir just doesn't interest me at all.

Do you have any recs? I'm surprised to hear this ship is popular but I would love to read some fics for it.

Sorry. I don't care for the ship so I avoid anything with it in it. I ship Aragorn/Faramir, and 90% of that has past Aragorn/Boromir and/or past Faramir/Boromir in it. It's hard to find stuff without either of those.

Ah, I hate when my notp is a past ship in a fic. I do think it's rather weird that Faramir/Boromir is so common a ship. I'd never even considered it, but, I've never really been in the LOTR fandom.

Well, in the LOTR index, it specifically says that Boromir wasn't interested in anything romantic with anyone and only loved soldiering and riding and stuff like that, so it actually makes sense not to find him shippable because that fits with his character in-canon.

I can dig it. Well, I'll read any Faramir fic so that is probably why.

I Can't ship them personally. The only time I can ship incest is when it is cousins or when the ship is really messed up. Faramir and Boromir's relationship is far too healthy for that.

Nostalgia! They were my first incest ship. Tbh they were my first ship, period. I guess 12-year-old me already knew that incest ships are where it's at for me.

Oh man, I ship quite a few incest ships so I feel you, though I never got super attached to this one.

It isn't that I don't like it though, it's more that I can take or leave it; it isn't an OTP.

However, Boromir and Faramir have a great relationship, slash or not; I find it heartwarming.

Faramir/Eowyn is my LoTR OTP but I totally ship Faramir/Boromir as well, but then I am here for messed up dynamics at least half the time I think.
