I haven't thought about that manga in years! I remember loving it, and I thought the end was clever, especially the twin part. I've never seen anything else like it. It was shivery and disturbing, but in a good way.

'Suffer crappy lives'? I don't remember that. Just normal ones. I always took it as reincarnation, to an extent. Getting over the soul's past trauma before returning to life.
