This exactly. I'm sick of every movie/show having the token love interest and you know before they even speak that they are going to end up together.

Now if it was two girls or two guys, that is still a pretty fresh concept.

I watch shows where the creators have sworn they wouldn't pair up the opposite sex leads and some part of me is still going, "Yeah, sure, give it time and some ratings slump."

Yep, example, woman is focused, smart, sassy and doesn't take shit from anyone until a square jawed white guy meets her on her level and sasses her right back. She's stunned and now deeply dislikes him. They're going to fuck.

Whenever I see this happening(and it happens quite a bit) I roll my eyes. Still, I'd be all over it if it was two gay characters.

I used to think the same, until I realized what I disliked was poor writing. I would've hated that shit even if it was m/m or f/f.
