Adulting is hard

(Anonymous) 2015-10-15 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Shopping for beds is a pain in the ass. Someone please do it for me. I'm ready to just give up and sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor.

Feel free to share your own adult woes.

My bathtub or shower pan has started leaking, and dripping through to the living room. I have $20 in checking and a boatload of credit card debt, so I'm like "wtf do I do?!" I think I'm going to recaulk everything after payday, and hope for the best until I can afford a contractor.

I also need to buy a new mattress. First there's the issue of you know paying for it. Then there's the whole testing and buying it, and getting it delivered and shit. It took me hours to buy my current mattress, and I was 22 then, and coming off 4 years of dorm beds (and a futon for years prior to that), so basically anything was better than what I was used to. Now I'm mid 30s and have occasional sciatica flares.

I don't know. Nobody knows. It's all a great conspiracy.

Ugh Yes.

I have to buy some soon after my birthday. Not looking forward to it.

I wish I was still covered on my dad's travel insurance plan...

I'm moving into a house share situation for the first time. Moving in with a stranger is scary and I don't want to do it, but that's pretty much my attitude towards all of life. Gotta keep on pushing through I guess.

I'm sick with a sinus infection. My face seems to have stuffed itself with rocks somehow and I feel like shit....but I still had to go to work today, and will tomorrow, and the next 2 days as well.

FUCK BEING A GROWN-UP

I feel you. There's a stomach flu going around where I am and I caught it and my stomach feels like it's stuffed with razor blades and yet I still have to work. FML.

I feel you. I think I'm coming down with the flu myself and I could just feel myself getting worse and worse as I was at work earlier, but didn't feel like I could just leave early.

Now I just feel like crap.

Amen. I've been intending to shop for a bed (and a mattress) for months, and I keep putting it off because it is such a giant pain in the ass.

Friend of mine just bought an ikea double bed and comfortable if not spectacular spring mattress for surprisingly cheap, the mattress even came rolled up to fit in a car.
